Click….click….click….click. That’s all it takes these days to have that book in the palm of your hand – a book that caught your eye while browsing – a book recommended to you by a friend…a book that has been on your ‘to read’ list for quite some time. How easy is that? Very easy.
With more writers self-publishing their own books – I did it – and accomplished authors making their already published books available electronically you are only a click away to getting absorbed in the fantasy of another world. No more waiting for your purchase to arrive in the mail or getting dressed to purchase your ‘want to read’ item at a book store. That book is right at your fingertips to be read or to be published! (Although, you self-publishing authors know that it takes a little more than just one click to get your latest work of art out there to the public!) 🙂
These are the definitions of Author and Reader from the Encarta Dictionary:
- Author – somebody who writes a book or other text such as a literary work or a report
- Reader – somebody who reads something
If you fall into one of these categories then READ TUESDAY is for you. Yes, READ TUESDAY is for authors to list their electronic and ‘real’ books at a very low discounted price in a catalog, on a website, made especially for them.
However, if you are a reader then READ TUESDAY works for you! Without readers, authors would have no outlet for their work. This means that you, the reader, are very important to make READ TUESDAY a success!
Haven’t you heard? READ TUESDAY is going to be HUGE! Give the gift of reading this holiday season. Put a smile on someone’s face! READ TUESDAY is making it easier to purchase just what you have been waiting for at a huge discounted price. There will be books for the young and books for the old.
READ TUESDAY will be held on the 10th of December this year and could be the book lovers equivalent to BLACK FRIDAY!
Hopefully it won’t put library’s out of business because I love library’s. They are quiet and cool on a hot summer day. They are a place to go to get lost in the world of words. Sadly to say, I don’t own a library card right now. I haven’t had any reason to go to the library. I’ve just been click…click…clicking!
