And The Story Continues…..

And The Story Continues…..

Have you ever been re-blogged? Just wait until it happens to you and you will be singing along with the best of them! I’ve had a great time re-blogging some of my very own favorite posts this week to help with my time crunch while participating in Blogging 101. Who knew it could be so time-consuming, but I’m going to come out of it being a smarter blogger and having a better blog!

So I had a thought – a great thought – I think! I am going to start having a re-blog Wednesday every week. This will help me out time-wise and maybe – just maybe, I’ll get this book published!

Re-blogging, in case you haven’t heard, brings traffic to your site, helps bring traffic to the site of the blogger who you re-blogged, and just all-around makes bloggers HAPPY!

What this means is that every Wednesday I will re-blog a post of one of my fellow bloggers that has ‘spoken’ to me in the past week or so which will allow me to share this great post with all my readers – posts I’m sure my readers will enjoy. Wouldn’t you like your blog site to be shared around the world? It’s a vicious circle out there people.  Let’s get in the middle of it. I know I’m a small fish in a big sea, but you have to start somewhere.

What do you have to do to be considered for this re-blog? Just keep on blogging. Fill my reader with amazing stories, great content, or great pictures you know I will want to share. Make my head turn and my brain work trying to decide what is the best of the best.

I usually read through my WordPress reader most days and if I don’t finish I add it to the next days list. You never know when I might sneak up on you and lo and behold the next morning, there in your reader is a re-blog of your past post! How cool is that folks?

Re-blog Wednesday will begin on January 21st! Look for it here.

What are your thoughts on re-blogging? Keep those stories coming!

  1. I read through the entire article, but I only got about a third way down the comments. 🙂

I personally think that re-blogging is a great alternative to guest blogging. Search engines are starting to frown on guest blogging because quite often, the content is of poor quality or very widely syndicated. Re-blogging will allow you more control over the quality without hurting anyone’s feelings and you are also able to add a little of your own views to the mix.

    Good luck and happy blogging!

    • I’m honored you’d like to re-blog! I have learned WordPress the hard way – by doing a lot of research and hit and miss. And I ask a whole lot of questions! LOL Blogging 101 has been very informative. Just hang in there and it will all come together for you.

  12. Fantastic idea!!! What do you think of the #reblogwednesday hashtag for Twitter. Also, since I am working on the Blogging 101: Be a good neighbour assignment, I hope you won’t mind if I reblog you today :)!!

  13. I love the idea of reblogging. I’ve wanted to do it except for me, there’s little to choose from. I write a mental health blog about living with bipolar. What others find so great about my blog is that there’s not many like mine out there, that talk so honestly about what it’s like instead of spewing out general self help and textbook stuff. Of course, that makes finding something of quality that I can reblog but remains relevant to my theme rather difficult! Haha.

    • Something will come up to re-blog, I’m sure. Just keep your eyes open and read blogs pertaining to your own content. Do google searches for other mental health blogs to contact with and maybe branch out a bit to other areas of mental health. This can work for you! Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting! 😉

  16. I feature other writers on my blog every Wednesday so the authors quite often reblog which is wonderful. I try to do the same, but I love your idea and I may copy it. I might do it on Monday–make a concerted effort to reblog a favorite or well-informed blog. Thanks!

  24. I think it’s a brilliant idea – I got re-blogged a couple of times, the most recent one was last Friday. I was asked to do a guest post for someone, so I obliged. She runs a business and was counting on me to spread the word. What I didn’t realize was how many thousands of followers she had, a few hundred on FB, another few hundred on Twitter etc. I was inundated with new followers and lots of activity and comments. Good luck with yours, I think it’s great. I’ve not been doing the last few assignments as I do not wish to upset my blog site, but I am learning a ton, had a lot of fun with PicMonkey today :). I hope you’re enjoying yours too 🙂

  26. I got re-blogged once so far and I almost choked on the water I was drinking! I didn’t think that anything I wrote was re-blog worthy, but I think I will also help the person your going to re-blog. It gives an amazing bust in moral, although that is a two edged blade, but I look forward to your post.

  27. I have never been re-blogged and am not sure what I would do when it happens. My blog is often just ramblings for friends and family. Perhaps if I tightened up the focus a bit, that may trigger re-blogging.
It looks like are using a footer widget to tell readers who you are. I like that.

  28. I have never re-blogged and have always wondered what it would do and how to do it. I write short stories and will think up a plan to re-blog other short stories I come across. I imagine it would be done best with a menu item of its own.

  29. I think re-blogging is a great idea and yes, it does bring traffic to the site. I’ve been re-blogged a few times but unfortunately only once was successful. I think it all depends on the number of followers the re-blogger has. And yes, I agree, it does save some time.
