Google Shirts Google AdWords takes the guess-work out of blog post keyword tagging.

Do you like to take risks?  Do you gamble?

By not using Google AdWords Keyword Planner, you are gambling with the success of your blog post.

You are hoping that when potentially new readers type your keyword into Google or another search engine, your blog post will come up just as much as when a gambler bets that 7 won’t come up on the dice in a craps game.

Google AdWords takes the gamble out of tagging your post with keywords and increases the odds in your favor.

    • I hope so. I just can’t figure why that first screen doesn’t pop up for me quickly and I have to go through a process of finding what I need! Maybe because I’m using my gmail account and did not create a new one? ~Elle

      • Should have nothing to do with Gmail. As soon as you log in do you see the word tools at the top to the right on the same line with campaigns?

        • I just closed all my tabs and started from scratch. Now when I go to the link you provided I’m already logged in – I guess because I never log out of my gmail. And YES! There is the page you screenshot! I must have had a glitch a few weeks ago because that did not happen. I also noticed I got an email welcoming me to AdWords and asking me to set my new campaign up. Never got that a few weeks ago. Just glad its all working now! Thanks! ~Elle

  6. My t-shirt might read “I need Google, for I know nothing”?

Seriously I’ve never found, being found, as being a problem? I’m not sure I want a huge readership either? It’s a lot to live up to.

I am always interested in how it’s done, so kudos. Cheers Jamie.

    • Thank you so much. My husband and I got those shirts while on vacation. As you can see from my first screenshot these tips only allowed 12 people to find me using search engines. 12 it’s not a huge number. But, it does help people interested in your message to find you and read it. Thank you again for your interest in my writing and my shirts. LOL Janice

      • Like millions of others, I use Google, to answer my questions. Years ago, I used other search engines, but the Google has bought out, its competitors. Knowledge is power.

I seldom read re-blogs. For I prefer to find the author and connect in other ways. Yet here I be.

No I do not gamble. Seldom anyway.

As previously stated, a large readership brings responsibility. On my blog I’m fairly free to say what I wish. Once you have more followers, there is an obligation to repeat what they like. At least that is a way, of looking at it? While it is interesting to note how this is done. I feel little obligation to follow the advice.

I can see for someone trying to live as a writer, this is important stuff.

For me it is a whim and writing is just one way to allow artistic expression to develop. It is an internalized thing. One that I’m willing to share with those who find it. Each to their own and I enjoy the community of bloggers, For there is a lot of stuff to find out.

        • Hi!
Thank you so much for following my blog! I look forward to getting to know you better. In response to what you wrote, I have heard One of the best ways to get a large following is by stirring controversy. You might want to check out blogs like harsh reality and Don charisma; those two men constantly stir controversy and they have huge followings. Harsh reality Has 50,000 followers. I stirred controversy in one of my posts and it received the third Best number of interviews since I started blogging. I guess there are many philosophies on how to blog best. You find the one that works for you. Thank you again for the follow. Janice
