OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW!

OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW!

It is just a white spindly tree, standing out in a forest of evergreens, and decorated with sparkly lights and tinsel. I have no idea why I’m attracted to this tree, but everytime we walk past it in the holiday department in Walmart I have to stop and admire it.

This tree makes me smile.

I’ve never been partial to white Christmas trees or spindly Christmas trees, but this tree just catches my eye and makes me smile.

H doesn’t see it as awesome. He knows we don’t need a new tree. We haven’t had time to put up the one we already have. It’s still in the box. Tied up with string. In the middle of the living room. We’re closer than we were last week. Then it was still in the storage unit.

If I could talk H into this new tree we wouldn’t even have to decorate it. Think of the time we would save. Decorations would be too much. This tree could stand on its own with its simple lines and white lights. A tree skirt to complete the ensemble and then I could slide this tall, slim tree nicely into the only place I have room for a tree.

Andrew was home for a couple hours over the weekend. He asked if we were going to put up the tree and insinuated that we don’t really need to put one up just for him. Has he lost his mind?  No tree?

Wouldn’t he be surprised to come home to this one?
